Sports Eligibility Policy / Grades 5 - 6
Mid-term or End of Quarter Report Card
A student who receives any combination of at least three D’s and/or F’s or fails to turn in daily assignments in a timely fashion, or is involved in a behavior/disciplinary situation at school or while participating in a scheduled league or tournament game, will immediately be declared ineligible and cannot participate on the schools athletic teams{practices and/or games}, for a period of time to be determined by the teacher, principal, and athletic director. However, the student’s progress will be reviewed during the period of ineligibility, and if the student has shown satisfactory improvement, he/she can be declared eligible to participate immediately by the principal.
Incomplete Mark on a Mid-term or End of Quarter Report Card
The student will be immediately declared ineligible and cannot participate on the school’s athletic teams {practices and/or games} until such a time that the incomplete is lifted.
Note: If warranted, fourth grade students will have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular sports. The above sports eligibility policy will apply
